"Fellini Satyricon" (1969). Federico Fellini
Cinema "Galaxy" estuvo por aquí (1971-1975)
Shepherd's Bush Green. London
"The 4Million Pound Shepherd’s Bush Centre was built as a new single storey shopping centre in 1970/71 and is located on the south side of Shepherd’s Bush Green in the west London inner city district of Shepherd’s Bush.
Included in the plans were a new single screen cinema named Galaxy Cinema, which was operated by impresarios Lew & Leslie Grade. This was to be the first of a chain of ‘family orientated’ Galaxy Cinemas, with others announced to open at Dunstable, Poole, Newmarket and Peterlee. Only the Shepherds Bush Galaxy Cinema opened, the others were dropped.
The Galaxy Cinema opened on 26th November 1971 with John Alderton in "Please Sir". All seating was on a single floor and seats were priced at 50p each.
The Galaxy Cinema was closed on 19th June 1975 with Linda Blair in "The Exocist". The cinema was converted into a retail unit, merging into the shopping centre.
In recent years, the Shepherd’s Bush Centre (now known as the West 12 Shopping and Leisure Centre) has been expanded to include a second level of shops and now includes a Vue multiplex cinema, which opened as a Warner Village 12-screen cinema on 7th December 2001"

Shepherd's Bush Green. London
